Master Motor Corporation and Yutong Bus Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Joint Venture Company that will locally manufacture and assemble Yutong’s New Energy City Buses in Pakistan.

Under this partnership, Yutong Master will set up a new greenfield plant, becoming the first and only company in Pakistan to produce city buses. These New Energy City Buses, available in hybrid and electric powertrains, aim to enhance public transportation across Pakistan, supporting the government's efforts to modernize transportation infrastructure.

The MoU was signed by Danial Malik, Director of Master Motor, and Huang Yuanchao of Yutong at the Pakistan Shenzhen Business Conference on June 5, 2024, during Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to China. Prominent figures present at the signing included Jam Kamal, Minister for Commerce; Rana Tanvir Hussain, Minister for Industries and Production; Abdul Kaleem Khan, Minister for Privatization; Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Secretary of Planning and Development; and Erfa Iqbal, Additional Secretary of the Board of Investment.
