Kia is set to launch several new and updated vehicles for the 2025 model year, including the K4 and K5 sedans, the Carnival minivan, and an updated EV6. As we approach summer, these models will soon hit the market, showcasing Kia's commitment to innovation and design.

2025 Kia Carnival / Hybrid

What's New:Exterior and Interior Redesign, Hybrid Powertrain

The 2025 Kia Carnival is a stylish, tech-forward minivan that has undergone a significant redesign. It features an aggressive front grille, sharp headlights, and "Star Map" LED running lights. The rear has also been updated with new LED taillights. Inside, the Carnival offers reclining second-row seats with footrests and up to 145.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the second and third rows removed. Rear passengers can enjoy the Connected Car Rear Cockpit entertainment suite with multiple 14.6-inch HD screens.

The biggest update is the new hybrid powertrain, which combines a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine with a 54.0-kilowatt electric motor, delivering a combined 242 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. The traditional 3.5-liter V-6 engine is still available, offering 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

2025 Kia EV6

What's New:Exterior and Interior Redesign, More Range

The 2025 Kia EV6, Kia’s first electric vehicle, receives a facelift with new headlight fixtures, an updated bumper, and fresh wheel options. The interior features a new steering wheel design, fingerprint authentication, a 12.0-inch head-up display, and a digital rearview mirror. Much of the glossy black plastic trim in the center console has been removed for a cleaner look.

A new 84.0-kilowatt-hour battery pack replaces the old 77.4-kilowatt-hour pack, improving charging times and range. The rear-wheel-drive EV6 Long Range now offers 307 miles of range, up from 295 miles. Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes just 18 minutes on a 350-kilowatt fast charger. While the exact release date and pricing are yet to be announced, the base model is expected to start around $45,000 and go on sale this summer.

2025 Kia K4

What's New:New Name, Fresh Exterior and Interior, Bigger Size

The K4, formerly known as the Forte, is a new sedan in Kia’s 2025 lineup. It features a completely new design with a rakish roof, sharp C-pillar, and unique vertical lights. The K4 is three inches longer and two inches wider than the Forte, providing more interior space.

Available in five trims—LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo—the K4's interior boasts a massive 30-inch display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air updates. GT-Line models include heated front seats, and a Harmon Kardon audio system is optional.

The K4 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission. An optional turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 190 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

2025 Kia K5

What's New:Updated Exterior and Interior

The 2025 Kia K5 receives a mid-cycle refresh, featuring updated headlights, a new front bumper, and minor styling tweaks. Inside, the K5 now includes two curved screens—12.0 inches for the driver and 12.3 inches for the infotainment display—with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The base engine is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The K5 GT offers a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. All-wheel drive is an available upgrade on the GT-Line trim.

2025 Kia Sorento Hybrid

What's New:Updated Exterior and Interior, Updated Powertrain

The 2025 Kia Sorento Hybrid arrives with the same sharp redesign as its gas-powered counterpart, featuring new LED running lights and dual 12.3-inch screens inside. The hybrid powertrain includes a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 1.5-kilowatt-hour battery paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

The Sorento Hybrid offers 36 miles per gallon combined in front-wheel-drive models, with all-wheel drive available as an option. The base Sorento Hybrid EX with FWD starts at $40,065, with AWD available for an additional $1,800.
