Toyota has introduced the new Corolla FX sport edition as part of its 2025 lineup. This special edition sedan pays homage to the 1987 hot hatch. It features cosmetic enhancements and updated features, enhancing its sporty appeal without altering its performance.

Exterior Enhancements

The Corolla has long been celebrated for its affordability and practicality. The new FX edition, based on the SE trim, adds a sporty flair with 18-inch satin-black wheels, black mirror caps, a rear spoiler, aggressive bumpers, lowered springs, and blackened badges.

Engine and Performance

Despite drawing inspiration from the 1987 FX16 hot hatch, known for its performance, the 2025 Corolla FX does not feature performance upgrades. It retains the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine paired with a CVT gearbox, delivering 169 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque.

Interior Upgrades

The interior of the new Corolla FX introduces a unique dark theme, a first for the model. It features Moonstone sport fabric with orange stitching, giving the cabin a stylish look. The car includes a 10.5-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch digital cluster panel, a wireless charging pad, and electric power steering. Additionally, the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 ADAS suite is included for enhanced safety.

Pricing and Availability

Toyota has yet to announce the pricing for the new Corolla FX. However, deliveries are expected to begin in the fall of this year. Buyers will have three color options to choose from: Midnight Black, Ice Cap (white), and Underground (grey), making this sporty sedan an appealing, budget-friendly option.
